What you can expect

Experience the thrill of New Zealand's highest Skydive at 18,000ft. Soar above the breathtaking landscapes of Westland and Aoraki/Mt Cook National Parks, which form part of the Te Wāhipounamu - South West New Zealand World Heritage Area. In tandem with a seasoned instructor, you'll plunge from 18,000 feet above ground at a speed of 200 kph with an 85+ second freefall. As you glide back to earth, take in the beautiful views of the surrounding winter wonderland that is Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. Tandem skydiving is the fastest, easiest, and safest way for an inexperienced skydiver to enjoy the thrill of jumping out of a plane. The system includes a harness and parachute for both the passenger and the instructor to share, so you can simply enjoy the experience knowing your instructor has everything under control.

Additional Information
  • There's a maximum weight of 100kgs. We can sometimes accommodate guests up to 120kgs, but this at the discretion of the Tandem Master on the day and dependent on weather conditions. A surcharge may apply
  • The minimum weight is 30kg (66lbs) and all passengers must be big enough to fit safely into the harness
  • Please wear closed shoes. Jandals/flip flops or bare feet are not permitted
  • Wear warm clothing if jumping in winter
  • No age limit, under 18 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian
  • Skydiving is weather dependent, we suggest you book at the beginning of your trip so you can reschedule if necessary
  • You will be provided with tandem skydiving jumpsuit, helmet, goggles and gloves
  • Glasses or contact lenses are ok to wear
  • We suggest that all people that wish to participate that have a health concern, consult their doctor or specialist first to see if it is OK, especially heart conditions, sinus and ear problems and anyone that has had problems with consciousness
